As a recent graduate from the American Film Institute and member of Color Creatives FYPP Cohort, Jolien has been passionate about design and visual storytelling from an early age. Born and raised in New York City, she started her design pursuits with lighting design for the stage. At the George Washington University, she transitioned from lighting to set design, tackling the monster that was Stop/Kiss by Diana Son. From there, her journey into production design truly began.

From lighting design in high school to the culmination of her experiences at AFI, storytelling is an integral part of her identity. The best part of her job is the exhilarating exercise of releasing her imagination into the real world, transforming dreams into tangible, visual experiences.
